Yes you can replace the bulbs, but baring in mind that they will be an mot fail after april.

if thats the case does that mean i can just replace a bulb like any normal car or do you have to undo the kit

there is a bit of a grey area on the hid mot fail thing, if you read the short note is says if there after market there a fail, but if you read the full big bit they can only fail if the self level or wash systems arent working but if my car dosnt have self level or wash system how can they check it to fail it ?? this is what a mot name has told me and thats the way he will be doing his tests till told other wise, guess where my car is going this year not saying its right

they may if your been daft and using a HID in a non projection lens ...that is the big problem

its a fair point Andy, i cant see why they would stop you unless they are dazzling, saying that every time a car comes over the brow of a hill it dazzles the on coming car no matter if it has HIDs or not

guys ,

this morning i took a drive into work ,got into town had the lights on and demister on too and i noticed as i went to the end of the roundabout the voltage meter went below 12 and the lights went dim and then it spiked back to normal over 12 .ive started the car after i got out of it around 8am and the car started no problem lunchtime but i have an impression that it could be the battery thats at fault as the battery i bought last year is a lot lower than the one i had on it.could this be the case , i think the new varta is 53ah 470 and the standard battery is rated at 66ah

i will check with a multimeter later and see what the volts are on

ok ive checked it with a multimeter and it said its over 14volts , so alternator is working fine .must be the full load on the new battery.
