Fuel pump relay
Re: Fuel pump relay
by pass the relay and run 12v to the pump .then see what happens...the fuel wont pump if the car don't start ...safety thing, so that way you can eliminate the fuel pump side of things

Ive bridged out the relays and can hear the pump running
I used to be able to hear a small buzzing noise under the
bonnet when the ignition was on.I wonder if this has anything
to do with it?

ut your still using the feeds at the relay by bridging them, I would try an direct 12V to the fuel pump feed and also another earth
other thing is it may well be the crank sensor...its a common problem with the ecotec
Re: Fuel pump relay
Ive always heard the buzzing noise with just the ignition
on and theres no management light on

well if you have always herad it buzzing its nothing to do with that then
Re: Fuel pump relay
I dont hear it anymore ,so I was thinking whatever it
was is now knackered and not sending a feed to the
pump?

Re: Fuel pump relay
Thanks a lot for poping up today and finding the fault
It was the feed to the ecu plug that had corroded and broke off
the pin and it also didnt help that I had replaced the fuel pump
with one that was worse
.so we changed it back to the
original one and got the car started. So i'll put the rest of it back
together tomorrow.
