Trip computer - Switch problem
Sorry to bump a really rusty thread, but I'm stuck here.
I've finally got the FC, but the buttons came from a carlton. A 5-lead ribbon cable comes out, all leads gray except the one wich has a black line on it. Anone got a wire diagram on how to pull this one off? Can't just chop and solder without this as all the wires are the same color.
If anyone got color-coded wires, could they post a pic of the underside of the buttons - where the wires meets the print?

Yes they can. The input/output/pin numbers are printed on both plugs. The pin layout dont match but the numbers are the same.
In case you are of the unlucky ones without wiring for the plug/ecu - you'll find the wiring for the plugs in the Haynes manual: 12x47, lead 351-355:
Pin 1: BRSW (Brown/Black)
Pin 2: BRRT (Brown/Red)
Pin 3: BRBL (Brown/Blue)
Pin 4: BRWS (Brown/White)
Pin 5: *Blank*
Pin 6: BRGE (Brown/Yellow)

You might have guessed from the schematic, 6 (B/Y) is common. Could be useful to know if someone decides to mod them up with LEDs.
