Alarm question

Right, time has come to change the batteries in my remote for the alarm/central locking. its a sigma alarm (dont know exactly what model). will it lose the code when i take the battery out? and if so what do i do to reprogramme it?

It shouldn't loose memory mate. That info is burn't on, very similar in design to e-eprom.
