Central locking Boot Question...

by King Calibra » Sat Nov 12, 2005 9:31 pm

Just a quick question, if the central locking in a calibra is working properly, shouldn't you be able to unlock the car from the boot?

Just wondering as mine has never been able to..

According to the driver's handbook -

The central locking system and the anti-theft locking system for the doors cannot be switched on or off from the tail-gate lock.

wonder why it works on other vaux's then. wonder if you can take it from something else? I'm looking for a failsafe in case the remote for my alarm dies (besides climbing into the boot, lol.)

Get an aftermarket unit, or another driver-side main unit and mount on the boot. This feature is also useful in case some moron pries screwdrivers in your keyholes but is unable to get the doors open.

In case you do get it working, remember to always lock up the boot if you get something out while the car is locked.
