Electrical Problem

Hi folks

Having a problem with my volts gauge showing the wrong readings and my ABS light staying on.

1.From start up the ABS light comes on and wont go off "i think this is related".

2. When started the volts will sit at 14v and slowly drop to 12 / 12.5v.

3. The alternator which is 1 month old kicks out 14v at idle"multimeter across battery terminals" with lights / heater / heated seats and rear screen on yet the gauge inside shows that the volts are way down below the 12v mark.

4. The battery is 1 year old and has also been tested and is 100% ok.

So does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?.+
