Dash Lights etc

Ok driving about last night i noticed a few more of my bulbs (hopefully) have gone on the dash, mainly the headlamp selector and of course the dreaded heater controls.
Now i know theres a few guides for the heater controls but is the headlamp selector as bad ?

OK pulled the old light switch apart at the weekend and no bulb???? the bulb inside was missing!!!!! :eek:

Only two little wires hanging off the solder tags.

I did notice that it's not a plug and play and no way does a normal 12v 32w internal bulb from halfords fit.
So does anyone know what it should be??
The good old haynes has no mention

p.s cant remember who mentioned about the spring, balls and spindle on the inside but you were right!!! :sob:
