power to tv screens

Hello every one hope you all had a good christmas. Just about to fit tv screens in the but i have just got a quick question does this symbol +-.]--) mean that the centre pole is the + and the outside is - dont want to have anything going up in smoke. The dot on the +- is more in the middle i think this shows the centre pole :scratchch
