Little 'f' displayed on the fuel computer

What does it mean, I've been told it's a fuse blown but I've checked mine and they are all ok.

Only appears sometimes though and only with the ignition off???

Only time I've seen that was when I had the chip out of the unit for a while waiting for it to be reprogrammed. I think you might also get it if the temperature probe is faulty/bad wiring.
Infact , just had a dig through my many dusty saved files on the PC, and managed to find one about the trip comp, here's a short clip [img]/smile.gif[/img]

i got an f also displayed on mine, but this was after i got an uprated fuel pump installed. plus my fuel level gauge aint working.

as far as i am aware, it means theres a fault code to be read

as in theres summit broke,, a sensor has picked up a loose connection or summit,,

works on almost everything, even a faulty outside temp gauge

rear brakes? easier than the front to do. where is the wiring on the fuel tank. will i have to take the tank out to get to it? how easy is that to do?

akuma: drop the tank by its straps and you should see the wiring all there also remove the fuel pump etc as the sender unit for the gauge is integral to it, whoever fitted the fuel pump may not have plugged it in or even possibly didnt even fit it. may just be a faulty unit

It means that there is a Fault on your fuel computer, probably the Temp sensor as these always go mate, check through your computer either while driving or what ever and check your other readings also as it could be a fault with the consumption thingy. I had an F on mine for a while, now my outside temp guage tells me it is 54 degrees every day LOL

The reverse light switch is not connected to the fuel comp.
