Little 'f' displayed on the fuel computer
Little 'f' displayed on the fuel computer
What does it mean, I've been told it's a fuse blown but I've checked mine and they are all ok.
Only appears sometimes though and only with the ignition off???

Only time I've seen that was when I had the chip out of the unit for a while waiting for it to be reprogrammed. I think you might also get it if the temperature probe is faulty/bad wiring.
Infact , just had a dig through my many dusty saved files on the PC, and managed to find one about the trip comp, here's a short clip
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'></div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->A fault code will be stored if an F is displayed. These can be read out from the fuel computer.
Short pins A and D on the diag plug.
Switch on the ignition.
First 12 is flashed 3 times in the top display. Then if a fault code is stored it will be flashed 3 times. Otherwise - - - is flashed 3 times.
To clear the fault codes press the raised button.
167 Tank sensor voltage low, short circuit
168 Tank sensor voltage high, open circuit
169 Outside air temp sensor short circuit
171 Outside air temp sensor open circuit
173 Fault with fuel signal from ecu<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

It means that there is a Fault on your fuel computer, probably the Temp sensor as these always go mate, check through your computer either while driving or what ever and check your other readings also as it could be a fault with the consumption thingy. I had an F on mine for a while, now my outside temp guage tells me it is 54 degrees every day LOL

<!--QuoteBegin-ice+--><div class='quotetop'>(ice)</div><div class='quotemain'><!--QuoteEBegin-->does the f come up if your have unplugged the reverse light switch?<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
The reverse light switch is not connected to the fuel comp.
