Factory fitted alarm horn

by dan1w » Wed Apr 12, 2006 12:06 am

Just discovered I've got a factory fitted alarm after 8 months. However it only sets off the hazards and not the horn.

The vauxhall security booklet I've got says the alarm uses a seperate horn. If it is the horn that's broken, would I be able to swap it with this?

Also, does anyone know how to read the alarm fault codes?

Cheers,

Dan

the horn is situated towards the rear of the engine bay for the alarm, you will more than likley find someone has disconected it. But, I wouldent have thought that you could put that siren on there as a replasment as the horn beeps, surgesting that it is not a continuas flow of electrisaty.

Would there not be a relay somewhere that I could remove?
