FF alarm drivers door microswitch ?

by plasmadude » Wed Apr 19, 2006 12:41 am

Hi guys, having problem with alarm setting via drivers door key.

Pulled the door trim off to have a look, unplugged microswitch, it works fine (manually activating switch), looking at the operation from the inside, when i turn the key I can see the barrel rotate but nothing on the rotation to 'hit' the microswitch metal thingy.

Also the microswitch has two switches, one has the a metal 'extended bent' bit the other does not......

Am I right in thinking that the microswitch should have two metal extentions protruding, or maybe something has fallen off the barrel to 'make the contact' ??

Cant find any closeup pics of the switch anywhere.

Any help, gratefully received, cheers...

both the switchs should have the metal "leavers" on them

Hi doors dont centrally lock, I can get the drivers door to lock (itself only), I can centrally lock by the passenger door key, so cannot deadlock or set the alarm.
