clifford alarm. swapping vehicles.

When i bought the clifford for kelly about 60years ago I'm fairly sure it came with an ownership deal that the alarm would be refitted into any new car i bought FOC, or at least nicely discounted, but my memory sucks, the guy I allways deal with in there has now left so i'm having to deal with a newbie there who doesn't really know either. I called as the car can't be taken in to them anymore, so to find out the situation, but he knows nothing about it anyway, and says if i remove the alarm it will be about 6hours work probably to reinstall the alarm at £30ph +vat.

Now if i'm paying 200quid i might as well pay and have a new one installed?
so does this re-install scheme sound familiar to anyone? I'm gonna remove the alarm anyway, if they won't reinstall it any cheaper than that i'll ebay it and get myself a new one. How much would a new 300 cost installed? i can't remember what i paid for it, probably not cheap

You normally have to buy a new look for the re-installation.

The C300 isn't one of the current G5 range, but i think your looking at around £350 for a new G5 installed with certificate etc...

Where abouts in Devon are you mate? Anywhere near Plymouth?
Turnbulls did the Clifford alarms down Betonside used to charge about £175 to remove and refit but that was a couple of years ago when i lived down that way.
And just around the corner was something com comes to mind another place who may help you as their guys used to work at turnbulls.

Yeah its turnbulls that fitted it the first time, i know the other place you mean, i may enquire with them about re-fitting.
Pulled the thing out this afternoon, its a bit of a joke really, don't see what the CAT1 fuss is about, a kid with a pair of scissors and some selotape could get the car running in under half hour
