alternator wires
theres 2 wires a big red one and a thin dark wire, my thin one isnt connected its just about 6" long with a chewed end, everything else seems to work , no warning lights, volt gauge works etc
anyone know were it goes?

the really really really thin one is the priming wire, it goes to the light in the dash then to the + on the batt.. hence why you'll have no warning light lol.. check with ur multimeter you've probs got no charge.. temprarily just put a bulb between there and + if you cant find the wire, it should light then go out when you start the car as normal, you'll just have to pull it off when you stop the car or wire it to the ignition.

doesnt seem to have any problems as its been like this for about a week now (since i found it), how long actualy like this i dont know! it was connected last year... i think...presume...
I used to have problems with things going flat all the time, then it stoped and its been ok for about 3 years!
