Battery or Alternator
Hi,
Just a quick question
I'm having to jump start my Calibra (8V SE4)
everytime i stop and this has been happening for 2 days
it's not taking much to jump the car and the voltmeter inside
reads around 14-15v when driving, but when i stop it wont go
again unless i get another jump start
Cheers in advance

9.3, what about with it running? or is that with it running??
Check the water levels if its not sealed.
are you jumping it with both leads on the battery or one on the engine as you should?
if its one on the engine then it sounds like perhaps the battery earth cable is not conducting.

hi,
thanks for the responses
it was the battery (btw it was a sealed battery, so i couldn't check levels)
i've just taken it to a garage who tested the battery and alternator
and the alternator was fine and the battery showed up as 41% (unservicable)
whatever that means.
so at least it now starts without help
