HIDs faulty. - Balast probs.

Can anyone help at all?
The balast for one of my HID bulbs is playing up.
Sometimes it fires the bulb up, sometimes it doesn't.
When it does, the unit buzzes.

Anyone know what the problem might be? and whether it is repairable without buying new lights?

nope! They are 3 years old odd now.
I have found a place in the UK advertising through ebay that say they supply replacement ballasts..... - I've messaged them.
I will check all the connections (again) just to be sure too.

Have you tried swapping the ballast's around just to make sure it is the ballast that is faulty. Is it possibly the bulb that's the problem causing the ballast to make the buzzing noise? I know you may have already tried swapping various parts but better to ask. What sort of price are you being quoted for a replacement ballast?

As most ballasts are sealed can't see how they can be fixed, just a case of buying another ballast.
