ECU Code 48
Evening,
Getting the ecu light flashing on quite often, doesn't seem to affect performance whilst on, the code stored is 48 which is battery low voltage, had a new battery put on around 2 month ago so i know it ain't the battery, alternator is charging fine, the only thing i can think of is a short to earth some where, any other ideas ?
Cheers

I would check the connections, the main + connection for the loom on the battery, the ECU master socket, the two/three earths on either end of the fuel rail. I woudlnt think it would be the battery to shell, shell to gearbox earths because it would cause starting issues etc.. but worth checking all the same.
Failing that do you have a volt meter in the car? it may be ok on idle, but possibly actually going low during driving under load etc.. load the battery up as much as possible with electrics and then check to see its still charging.

Cheers Stu, going to check the cables tonight, was checking things last night and come across my rear drivers side spring had collapsed, look for one thing find another, got an apexi meter installed, so monitored the voltage this morning, everything seems fine with the alternator, so will check all the cables tonight.
