hi people, been awy with work. anyway does anyone know how to change the analouge clock in my 8v over to a digital clock with the temp sensor on im not fussed about sensor just want time. as theres a 7 pin plug on the back and ive only got 3 on the original im kinda stumped. please help. thanks

The air temp sensor is located passenger side bottom of the front bumper, if it's not there you could look for one on ebay

well if you can identify the wires on your three pin one you can retro fit it easy enough as all you will need is a suitable connector from a scrap car
then use the wires from your original clock connector
Red to clock connector Red red +12v power
Black to clock connector black ignition
Browns to clock connector Brown ground
Grey/black Illumination could use a fee from the original one or from the cig lighter
Blue/White Temperature
Blue Temperature
to get the temp working means running wires down to the temp sensor ..easy enough just have to get it from the scrap Yard
the DID connector pin out
Pin 1 +12v red
Pin 2 temp sensor blue/white
Pin 3 earth brown
Pin 4 illumination grey/black or grey/green
Pin 5 ignition black
Pin 7 temp sensor blue
Pin 12 speed MPH blue/red

then use the wires from your original clock connector
Red to clock connector Red red +12v power
Black to clock connector black ignition

Easy to do. When i did it on the SE i used the wires from the original clock
(helps if you get some loom with the new D.I.D) and the ran a wire from the new sensor i bought to a loose connector i found in the engine bay.
It looks like a black 4 pin connector with one blue wire attached up near the alarm horn thing. I then located the yellow connector for the fuel computer and tapped into the blue wire to make the connection for the external temp sensor as i never intended to use the yellow connector at all. if you do then just rejoin it again.
Took me about an hour to do. The only thing it didn't do was dim with the dashboard like the one in my SE2 does.

Just have a good search around, the connector with be tie wraped up out of the way either behind the glove boxc where tohe main wiring loom is or behind the heater control panel area - it will be tucked up out the way so have a good look.
