Window stuck

My passenger window opened itself earlier - it's now open half an inch and I can't get it to shut. Where's the best place to start looking for the problem?

does it go up then drop, if so you need to press the littell button just by the window switch as you send the window, hope this helps

Yeah I've already tried this but think there must be a problem with the motor/regulator as I can't hear it trying to work. Took the door card off yesterday and had a quick look but it seems awkward to get to the window mechanism.

You might want to check for voltages and stuff under the button panel. It's easier than starting with the door. As you've already discovered, it's a pain...!!!

Fuses and switches check out ok, pretty sure it must be the motor/regulator then. Is it at least possible to shut it somehow? The missus is driving it now and moaning about being cold

high there mate it sounds like the stat for the window motor, it is bolted to the window motor its a pain to get to , but it has 4 torqs bolts holding it in to the motor it looks as if it is part of it but there was a recall on this part years ago because it did what your window is doing

Right this is turning out to be a bit of a pain. Finally got round to checking it out tonight and it's impossible lol - my hands are too big! Is there at least any way to shut it for now?

tap the button loads of times and window will go up just shut a small bit each time
