Glove compartment light

Glove compartment light

by sinbrad » Thu Dec 06, 2007 9:55 pm

Ok guys, as above the glove compartment light just suddenly stopped working. Checked all fuses etc and all seem fine. Cheched the bulb and it works connected to a battery. Bought a new bulb anyway and that doesn't work either. Checked the cigarette lighter and there is power coming from it. The light that lights up the cigarette lighter isn't there and wondered if the fuse for the glove box was the same one for either the cigarette lighter or it's light? Maybe something simple but it's stumped me!

Got it sorted so you can all rest in peace now! Anyway what it was was the little switch type thing that disconnects the light when the glove compartment door is shut wasn't making a true connection. Bent it a little bit and it now works.

Seperate post??
sounds like thats a question if you should start a sperate post or not, I can't even see anything about a problem with your "steating" in this post???? probably why no one has replied..
not sure if you mean steering or seating.

Sausage fingers! I meant steering. It's been posted for a while and have had quite a few replies but done everything that I've been advised on and still the same outcome ie steering still pulls to the left!

Both been checked and suspension has been replaced on both sides. still no joy! This one has really got me. Won't go on about it here though as it's better to keep the other thread going and see what filters through?
