hid's gone!

hi lads,have my nct sat(irish mot)and both balasts in my hids have failed me=[ have second hand head lights arriving tomorrow night and need to know how to take the hids out and go back to factory lighting!!

They are just bulbs, disconnect the live wire unplug the HID bulb and replace with normal, then connect live wire to the normal bulb, job done.

That's the ballast/ignitor and part of the HID kit, to go back to standard lighting follow my first post. You can remove the rest of the HID kit later.

Robbie,any idea how to replace a faulty brake switch on the pedal?? or what it looks like??

nearly have the kit out,just wondering 2things. 1-i presume the yellow wire is for the headlight bulb but can some one conferm this for me as i wont have the bulb untill tomorrow and 2- theres a black wire that is part of the kit attached to the back of the headlight.i cant get the of the kit out because it looks like the black wire is soldered on.can i just cut this wire off or is it needed for something??

Yellow wire is live to the bulb, where is the black wire soldered to ?

The black wire should be an earth so just remove the black wire.

got everything sorted with the head lights,thanks lads! my right hand head light is now higer than left (failed nct,left side fine) how do i adjust the beem down to match the left side??

Use a 13mm spanner on the part marked with a arrow
