Aircon Switch

by markybrisca » Tue Mar 18, 2008 3:07 pm

Just noticed my SE6 has Aircon but switch does not light up, can a bulb be replaced inside or is it a new switch job. Aircon seems to work as revs drop when button is pressed but it is too cold outside to decide whether fully functional or not. Anyone help me?

It probably needs a re-gas.

I'm sure the light won't come on if its not working, or put more clearly, the will come on if its working properly.

The Revs dropping just tell you the clutch on the pump is working to run the pump. When the gas become low in pressure to light stops working.

If the bulb does need replacing its easier to replace the whole switch. I tried changing the bulb in an aircon switch and ended up snapping the little plastic clips which hold the front on.

Very rare for the bulb to go and easier to replace the whole switch.
