oil pressure sender unit - wiring
How do you wire up the sender unit to the gauge? the sender seems to have a two connections, does one go the the guage and the other to earth???

there are two connections, one goes to the oil light on the dash, the other (the one with thread on) goes to the oil pressure guage. both off these are earths.hope this helps

Out of interest Mike, where did you get your sender unit and how much did it cost if you dont mind me asking, cos i need one for my SE9!

its a different type of push on connector, but if you havnt got one you can use a small nut and washers

storm your best bet is autovaux and they are around £30
As Dad says, the threaded connector is for the signal of the pressure whereas the other connector is for the pressure light on the dash (should come out the old pressure sender or old pressure switch (depending on what you had before)).
If you didn't have the guages before it might be a case of having to wire the sender directly to the guage.
Connections on the guage are as follows.
