interior Boot light does not go out?
Ok guys, my car is in getting a lot of things done. I paid a visit to the guy that's doing it and he happened to mention that the interior light in the boot is staying on. I know this didn't happen
prior to him receiving the car. What could be the problem. Also I remember my G/F mentioning something about the electric mirrors not working either when she had to go round to get something from the car. A common symptom between the two?
cheers

Re: interior Boot light does not go out?
could be a faulty switch in the boot, you'll need to remove the carpeted bit on the bootlid to get to it.
BETTER TO HAVE A CALIBRA AND NOT NEED ONE, THAN NEED A CALIBRA AND NOT HAVE ONE!!!

If it's any help the boot light switch is on the negative side. So, maybe the light unit has been earthed somehow.

Cheers guys, I'm looking at the negative side of things. As he had everything disconnected he may have earthed something he wasn't supposed to? Just to rule out the light switch itself will take it off when I go back round tomorrow? The earthing may explain the leccy mirrors as well?
