Battery

A few weeks ago I hadn't used my Calibra for a week, the weather had been cold and frosty, when I tried to start it the battery was flat. Used it regularly since with no problem until this week when I haven't used it since Sunday, today the battery is flat again.

All the dials have been doing the usual things, the weather has been mild, I am thinking I need a new battery

Any advice, tips on what sort to get please.

drop test for the battery.but does sound like its fubar.

The extreme cold will have killed it!..get it checked at a motor shop..they usually do free testing...I've found that once a battery had been dead and re-charged its never quite the same again...and I wouldn't trust it.

Thanks for the advice, took it to Halfords, they checked the alternator and said its fine

its the battery that needs replacing.

They said a 60amp battery is what I need at £103.00

it will have to wait until the end of the month

Is that about right or are there cheaper ones out there

looks like the typical halFRAUDS tyring it on!

you are a paid member too so goto vxhall and tell them you get trade but im not sure if it will be in the trade book

in all honesty my battery was fecked for about a month and i took a trip to toys r us it wouldnt start and i couldnt be arsed to jump it so i bit the bullit
