knock sensor

rite started to strip down the c20 let the other day to do the timing belt. removed the airbox and found the wire going to the knock sensor was rubbed through on the aux belt. i need to know if the same sensor is used in the c20xe as i have a spare one sitting at home before buying one

Im assuming its knock sonsor- its in the middle of front of block so behind turbo.

that maybe the crank sensor, have you got a pic?

Knock sensor is below the inlet so sounds like crank sensor to me below the thermostat

yep it is the crank sensor, got new one now and gonna fit this weekend
