No power to fuel system after the worlds longest rebuild
No power to fuel system after the worlds longest rebuild
Finally I have my turbo engine built with a second hand head but it wont start.
This is what not happening.
There is no power to the fuel pump and if I feed it with 12 volts then the rail fills up but no fuel getting through to the injectors.
I have swapped the fuel relay and no difference so tested the fuel injection fuse and there is no power going to it so I need to know what could cause it, have I missed a plug in the engine bay or is it something else, I don't think its the alarm witch is a toad AI606 if I remember right what I wired myself and it cuts the fuel and ignition but the car turns over so I'm sure its not that.
Help.....................

Re: No power to fuel system after the worlds longest rebuild
I would say you have missed an earth or the live feed to the ecu if both pump and injectors arent working

Earth wise, should be three wires on thefuel rail. two at the gearbox end.
How much effort would it be to bypass the alarm rob? I know you fitted it so I know you could do it, but how long would it take you to temporarily bridge the connections? are they all taped up and hidden away?

Re: No power to fuel system after the worlds longest rebuild
Alarm will take too long as the car is in work and I can only make little time to work on but found out a bit more today.
The injectors have 2 wires to each one A live and A earth. The earth is the problem as I'm told it is a switched earth by the ECU and it is always live now and when I unplug the fuel relay both have now power so I'm sure its the relay.

Re: No power to fuel system after the worlds longest rebuild
This car is p****n me off now, today I went back to the drawing board and did a compression test and its very low around 50psi or 4 bar ish on 2 and 110psi ish on the others. Did not do a wet test and I have noticed the oil light is not going off wile cranking.

Re: No power to fuel system after the worlds longest rebuild
thinking of draging the car for a bit to build the compression.

Did wet compression test and got good results and I know this is nothing mechanical.
