Battery Light, Radio Off, No dashboard Functions :?:

Hey guys, im having a bit of a problem with my dashboard and radio.. I changed the headunit, when i was done hooked battery back up, then turned on the ignition, straight away thier was no lights on dashboard and radio wasnt working, When i started the engine still no lights until it got some revs, then battery, petrol light and handbrake light came on. Went around the block a few times, no petrol gauge, no temp gauge, and revs were bouncing around like crazy... The indicator and hi beam lights both come on dash when used, iv checked the fuses and dunno what else to do. any ideas/help would be much appriecated

Remove the headunit and see if it works correctly again.

Ye I did that and it doesnt work when its pulled out either, Should have mentioned that lol

Nope is that in the fuse box where steering wheel is, i checked fuses 8 and 9 and had a look at all the rest everything looks good
