car runs doesnt stop after taking key out.. ??

car doesnt turn off when the key is turned and taken out the egnition, only happened twice... it stops running after 30 seconds is it because its hot? low on oil? ( does need a top up ) barrel wear? dunno im not a mechanic, seems ok when it cold x

As above Kitty, The ignition must be staying on for the fuel to continue. The reason it stops is prob because when you take the key a way the immobiliser kicks in (if it has one)

factory alarm fitted and now ive learnt how to spell ignition! BONUS!
Its a calibra SE 2L 8V
I think my air flow meter is playing up because the engine management light keeps flicking on when you put the revs on and its that which controls the fuel/ar into the engine I think..... going to the garage tomorrow to get it hooked up

right been to garge they turned it over a few times, then the problem stopped? its ok now he must be magic? anyhoo he hooked it up to the computer deleted the history and started fresh... turns out there was a bad connection on the drivers heated seat wire thingy majjigggymabob taking the power a different route.... he did say what the problem was but I couldnt remember the words, I was just happy I had no lights flashing up im sure if someone said ide know but it was an electrical fault xx
