RE: My SE5 Progress Pics
I used to have that prob with my calibra when I first had remote locking fitted. Turned out that one of the central locking motors in the doors had gone a bit lazy and the solution was to fit a new one.

My Cally does it from time to time....All I ever do is manually unlock the driver and passenger door, and boot a few times, and open and shut them quite hard a couple of times each. That usually keeps it at bay for another few months
As has been voiced previously, it's probably a lazy lock motor, which effectively forces all the other locks to unlock again, and I just have to give it a wake-up call from time to time
HTH.

GeordieSteve It turns out it is the passenger door.
When i unplug the power to the central locking the rest of the locks all work so it means im now going to have to remove and sort.
Is there any particular bit that can cause this problem and needs replacing or can it be thst it just needs adjusting or cleaning? Help please

RE: WANTED......List of bits if anyone can help...?

Leather door card
I had exactly the same problem and sorted it quite easily. Firstly, check if you can lock it on the passenger side without it popping up again. If you can, unclip the door card (passenger side) and have a look at the steel rods that go to the internal handle. Mine had jumped out of its guide and was getting trapped between the door card and the door. I popped it back into the guide and it was fine after that!

RE: Opinions - Audi S4 2.7T
Thanks for all the help i have finally sorted it!
For anyone who wants to know how, I had to take the locking unit out of the passenger door (Pain in the arse) then readjust the motor as it seemed to be unable to completely lock the door so reverted back to unlocked so unscrewed the two screws pulled the lock shut then retightened the screws. All seem to work now so fingers crossed it lasts!

RE: How tightly do i torque..????
Bish - Pain to get to have to take most the door and window apart but quite basic when you get there. There are two screws holding the black plastic case of the motor in place unscrew them then pull the lock shut with your finger. Whilst shut move the motor into the correct place and then do the screws up.
This many or may not fix the issue as this is the problem i had but as you can see front he rest of the thread there are a number of reason why you may have this fault. For some reason though it seems to almost always be the passenger door as GeordieSteve said Weird..!!!

Would appear it could be either door. Mine and others looking at this thread have had problems with passenger door and FatLadz had the same issue with a couple of driver doors.
To find out what door it is you can take the door card off the one you think it is then disconnect the electric motor by unclipping the connector plugged into the bottom of it, and then try locking the other door, petrol cap and boot. If they lock the one you have is right if not connect it back up and try the other door. Worked for me, as soon as I disconnected the passenger door electrics the rest locked so I sorted that and hay presto all is now good! Well until next time.
