Heating Display

Is this supposed to be illuminated when the lights come on as mine isn't. Seems weird. Any reason why it wouldn't be?

The heater control light should come on with the main light switch, bulb is gone mate I reckon, quite common

Does the panel come off easily enough for me to replace it though?

Ish.

you need to remove the steering wheel cowling first (honest!)
then the plastic cover to the left
then the DID
then you can release the display enough to get your hand down the back and replace the bulb.. some people have done this really quickly - muggins here took bloody ages
