Phase 1 chip Over Boost problem.

I quickly get to about 15psi over boost and the 13 psi standard which its meant to be but no mater how much further I wind the actuator it seems to be stuck about 15psi and not allowing me the 18psi over boost the chip says its capable of.<!--colorc--></span><!--/colorc-->

Is it a standard actuator? It could well be that the stock one is not up to the job of holding any more.

yeah it is a stock one. i thought that might be the case i was just hoping it wasnt as that means a new actuator!

If the actuator is stock, and original, then it's done a good job up until now as it is... and is probably due replacement.

Get a strong replacement anyway, £120 job. Then you'll have better holding of that boost after you've adjusted it up.

Yeh, i've run an uprated actuator on phase1, it works fine, the only downside is when switched off you force slightly higher boost.. so.... im not sure if its then safe to do so.. because your effectivly running the stock map and forcing higher boost??? so i would just leave the kit turned on, and be gentle with your right foot if you go that route [img]/smile.gif[/img]
