Grinding noise

I've noticed that when on full-lock (both directions) I'm getting quite a nasty grinding noise coming from the front wheels/suspension. I noticed it a couple of months back, it seemed to disappear but now its come back. It behaves fine when not on full-lock.

I've checked everything I can think of including wishbones, anti-roll bar and links, brake calipers, disks and pads, nothing seems to be loose or worn out, also checked that the brake disc guard was not fouling. Had a CV boot split about 6 months ago, had the joint re-greased and new boot fitted but is it possible that I should have replaced the joint completely? Would this give the same grinding sound?

Tyres and suspension are both standard.

normaly on full lock they make a clicking sound not gringing when the cv joints have gone,
