<!--sizeo:2--><span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%"><!--/sizeo-->I will be doing my other lower arm on my suspension tomorrow as last week I couldn’t undo the wheels nut but took the car to a garage and they undid them for me)

Now I noticed it looks like I have a castillated nut (where the splitpin goes through top or locktight glue stuff but how do I go about undoing this one as the other one was a nylon locknut and the new one will be a nice new one once I have this .is it the same procedure as undoing the 19mm nut?

It should definatley be a castlated nut where the wisbone joins the hub/strut, not a nylock.
Undo as normal, replace with castlated nut, replace the pin when it's tight.

Is that what you mean Baz?

Useually the new replacement lower arms balljoints have nylock nuts fitted instead of split pins.

Oooo! get you, with your new-fangled 'Nylock' nuts In my day all we had was castlated nuts n split pin, and all i had to play with as a child was a stick and a cow pat

I've had nylock nuts with both sets of wishbones I got.

I only had the cowpat to play with, mummy wouldn't let me play with sticks

well today i finished the other side of my wishbones as last week i could only do one side but i wasnt best pleased earlier as when i undid the antiroll bottom nut the ARB link was so loose it just slipped off the end (that is the last time i take my car to one stop garage as they were supposed to of done the work properly)so me and the father in law managed to get the new one on with plenty of fairy liquid but the car drives fantastic now and it feels more better to handling as what it did before and it was all thanks to robiev and one of his guides he did

cheers rob
