My leaking brake hose turned out to be not the hose but the one way pressure valve that the rear hose connects too!! Has anyone had this fault with thier cally?
I went along to vauxhall and depending on what chassie you have its either £65 or £180 to replace!!! For somthing thats not much bigger than an AA battery!!!
Luckly after taking it apart and hermatiting the thread and puttin it back together it seems to be holding but CHRIST!, thats alot of money!!!!!

calibras are being broke left right n centre (surprise surprise) so it wont be hard to obtain a valve from one of them calis have a look around ebay & migweb, also clubcalibra.com

its a brake balance valve, not a one way valve, just FYI

remembering that brake systems are designed with failure in mind and it would take something pretty catastrophic for all the brakes to be non functional

I had a leaking/fault one several months ago and it was £50+ for a pair of replacements
My mechanic said at the time that if it had failed it would not have been good! I can't remember if he said it would have locked the brakes, or they would have failed..
