Would this work on a Calibra????

Hi guys, quick question. As some of you know I'm after one of these for my V6. I met a guy down the pub the other day who has an Astra (GTE shape) who has got the C25XE from a calibra in it. He has put in a strut brace from a 2.0 Red Top GTE and it fits perfectly.

My question is, can you fit a Calibra Red Top strut brace under the hood of a V6 similar to what this guy has done?????
Need to know as I can get a Sparco one for £30 and it's only been on his car for about 2 months so it's still mint.

think it would foul on the inlet manifold? and it'll be made more for the car than the engine fitting wise

We are talking two different engine bays and one reason the strut fits the Astra could be that the C25XE sits lower then in the Calibra ? Hard to say for sure.

I bought an alloy strut of ebay, some people will say being made of alloy its not strong enough to do its job, again i dont know !

Can you not "borrow" the strut to see if it fits ?

I could but it will be a b****** as he doesn't want to strip anything til he knows he can sell as he will need to get a new car asap. As far as the strut being made of alloy, I thought they were all made of alloy???

There are strut braces that are made of steel or carbon and of course alloy
