hi my cv boot has gone, ne1 know how much a typical garage would charge or is it and easy enough weekend job? with the right jacks hehe.

It's a bit of a pain as you have to remove the driveshaft from the cv joint so you can slide the boot onto the driveshaft, but i certainly wouldn't pay a garage to do it for me. Should take a couple of hours tops.

it's a pretty easy job to do yourself, just make sure you have the right tools for the job, a small hint, to undo the large castellated nut on the hub, remove your road wheel first remove the dust cap to the nut and the split pin, refit the road wheel without its center cap then you'll have the weight of the car to use when you undo the nut
