New Tyres sizes

1st post a newbie..... great site full of infomation.

My question is , i need 4 new tyres for my calibra. they are running standard vauxhall alloy rims 15 in on micky mouse mix and match tyres .

i brought the car knowing it needed new tyres , in thepast i have allways brought yokohamas or dunlop.

now i want to know if i can fit 225/50/15 to the back and 205/55/15 to the front. they have the same rolling diamiter and are the same price as the 205s my old mr2 had 225sall round and handled like a roller skate.

any body tried this on theirs?

thanks in advance

i'd say 225's are much too wide for standard rims, and you'll never get a calibra handling aswell as a MR2 just by changing the tyre widths!

Hello and welcome, as MJ said plus you will need to change shocks and springs as wheel.

A wise choice. And welcome, btw. SE4 autos are quite rare (<100) - got any photos you want to post up?
