'97 V6 just failed MOT on parking brake. on inspection lever from handbrake cable to hand brake shoe had jammed. causing hand brake shoe to drag Disc drum plate to the point where it had to be replaced. Blissfully unaware this had happened guessing it had jammed for a while due to damage caused. relaced Disc/drums handbrake shoes pads and cables both sides. at great expense for such an unusal fault. all Ok now . thought I would mention it check yours make sure they are OK. might save your self a load of hassle and expense

same has happedn on mine last week after not driving it for a week so am waiting for bits to turn up
