Rear brake disc size - HELP!
Ok guys, got a new set of front and rear discs to suite the cali. Got a call from the fitter to say the rear discs won't fit as the depth of the disc is too large and not only
that the diameter of the disc is larger than the one that has come off? Looks like the ones that were on were 270mm in diameter whereas the new ones are 286mm
in diameter. He said that with the new ones, 286mm, the caliper won't go on? Anybody had this problem? Called autovaux and they only list one type for the v6 calibra. Apparently
the 286mm was fitted to both the vectra and cali? All help appreciated
cheers

Cheers Mark, Had to order a replacement set from Autovaux. Don't understand where the guy that I got the 286mm discs got his info from if the rears were always 270mm?

Mate its a huge fisaco. So many brake places insist that some v6's and turbo's had 286's on the back its unbelievable.
I've already irritated Robbie by asking why over and over again lol.
260mm Eraly callys, 270mm late callys. That right robbie?

Noticed that there's a lot of online places still quoting 286's for the rear. They should all be shot!
Anyone after a set of 286's for whatever purpose?:D

Just been caught out with exactly the same thing, 286mm supplied, 270mm needed....... Looked on-line and most places still say 286mm.
