Rear sub frame mount thingy Removal...Help Needed.

by sealeysonic » Sun Jun 14, 2015 11:49 am

Hi all.....can i remove the subframe bracket thingy one at a time...?

Image

So i can take it to work and shot blast them before rust proofing them.....new bolts etc.

Thanks in advance.

you can take them both off as long as you support the rest of it, and if you havent changed the bushes if your taking the brackets off now might be the best time to get them changed

popped down the "callycave" again.....I took one bracket off.....while supporting the sub frame......

Looks quite rusty....a lot of it is surface rust/old underseal(i hope)

So off to work it goes...for a shot blast....hopefully they dont turn to dust...lol....as Im guessing you can not get them any more.....the bush had seen better days too....so that will be replaced.

Also beefed up security while im under the car lol stop any tools going walkie`s lol (crap work phone pic)

get a claw hammer or a crowbar and just yank it out

normally the new ones slip in but if your struggling put some fairy liquid around it and when you bolt it up it will go in no bother
