Been to garage and it turns out the rack that was originally on the car had two 'flats' on the pinion, but the rack i had fitted only had one 'flat'!
It's going in next Friday to see if the garage can turn the UJ round to see if he can get the steering lock to work, if not i'll have a car with no steering lock!!!
