ABS problem - FIXED YAHOO!!
Ok ABS light is on, garage said it was ABS rings on CV joint replaced CV joints (both) light still on, they say new ABS unit is required (£600) the paper-clip method says error code 16 - LH front solenoid (relay and connections)
Who is right tech 2 or paper-clip and where are the ABS relays/solenoids etc as I can't find any mention of them in the manual

most ABS faults are due to the build up of rust on the actual rings,I presume the ones you have changed are the ones its saying are faulty?
It could just be the actual sensor is playing up, its unlikley to be the actual ABS unit though, but anything is possible but a faulty sensor can drag down the readings on the actual unit

well I have had to get a replacement ABS unit, £70 from a breakers yard, has anyone changed one before? what problems might arise? anything relevent I should know about?
Changed the whole unit over this morning surprisingly easy, bled the brakes and all is fine ABS light comes on then off then STAYS off fantastic my thanks to Megavaux who supplied the part and Gary (who did most of the work actually)
So MOT retest here I come.
