Which pads are best?
Which pads are best?
I have had a look on old posts and Greenstuff pads are mentioned quite alot, are these the best to buy, or are there better?
I have recently bought some EBC turbo grooved discs and want to upgrade pads at the same time.
Can anyone point me in the direction of the correct part number if i were to buy greenstuff pads, different websites come up with different model numbers. Or the part numbers ofr any better pads?
My car is a 96 8v. The choices for EBC are either 90-94 or 94-98, what was the difference between the 8v brakes in the different eras?
Thanks

<!--QuoteBegin-se6+--><div class='quotetop'>(se6)</div><div class='quotemain'><!--QuoteEBegin-->So do the part numbers work for EBC 2 litre, both 8v and 16v 90-94, then 94-98, again both 8 and 16v? What is the difference between the pads as they are the same size etc?<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
no there is a difference, its the backing thats the difference iirc
fronts for 94-98 is dp21087
90-94 is dp2960

Same set up as my turbo. Excellent performance, braided hoses make a world of difference.

Sorry guys to jumps in, had asked question about replacement pads for my V6 in another post but got no replies? Looked up a site and it had various size pads available but don't know which one's would be suitable for me? Can anyone provide the part no's for replacement front/rear pads? Was looking at mintex with a part no.min19121/19122, would either of these be correct for the front's? There seem to be various measurements involved as there is also min20270/20271? There are also various choices for the rears? Any help would be appreciated
cheers

With a lot of these performance pads you really need to get them warmed up before using them so if a lot of your driving is 5 miles to work etc your better of with the premium pads from vauxhall.
As for the differences on the v6 there is a cut off point on the v6's around 95 but you really need to check with your vin number and even then it could be wrong.
