What size/type bit needed for caliper bolts?
Nice quick easy question for someone..
What size allen key or hex bit will fit the caliper bolts on a cally?
I was gonna change my front brake pads today, but 2 things stopped me:
i) they don't need it yet..
ii) the biggest allen key I've got is too small for the hex/star shaped caliper bolts.
So I'll need to buy the correct sized bit/key...
thanks

I'll second that. I bought both individually from halfrauds. They're expensive for what they are, but will save a lot of hassle like cutting up allen keys etc. Think they're £3-£5 each.

Cheers guys, at the moment it's just the two to split the caliper when I (eventually..) do the pads. £5 ain't too bad I guess. I bought a 1/2" drive 17mm socket to go with my breaker bar last year, and at the time you think "that's expensive for a single socket", but the first time you use it and find it's SO much easier (especially when I'd broken 2 normal extension bars trying to undo a wheel nut!), then it kinda makes it worthwhile..
Just wish I'd bought the breaker and nut a few years previous.
