brake lines

Well you just can't buy the brake lines that are already formed for the car. You have to buy them in a 10m roll or something like that and shape them to fit yourself. But problem is that you can't just bend them with hand as if you kink it then it won't work properly.
You need a pipe bender.
The cost is not expensive, about £3 per meter I think. Its just the labour and how time consuming it is that puts the price up. Also depends on what parts of it have gone.
If it has gone on some parts, its always wise to replaced the brake lines across the whole car otherwise comes next year and it will be the same story in the diff part.

i did the small section from the rear caliper to the connection at the brake hoses. it was time consuming (as i didnt have a bender) but i got it fairly close to the original shape. used a socket to prevent if from damage while bending. ull also need something to crimp the ends of the pipes (duno if the bender does this also) and the new brass fittings. duno how much bending would be involved for the whole car replacement but ud be better off getting a bender ([img]/biggrin.gif[/img]) or drop an old one off for someone else to do.
