Vibrations

Hello , got vibs coming through steering wheel ,entire dash shakes, car feels like you are going over cobbles permenatley. Any speed over 30mph, gets worse the faster you go!
Tried- Balance all 4 wheels
Ballanced again (front 2) on the car
Checked tyre inflation
Can't find any mega worn bushes
I am now lost as to the solution,so are the boys at the garage,
Can you help?

Are you running on non-standard wheels ie 17" or 18" if so, check the spigot rings are there and ok. These centralise the wheels to the hub but if you don't have them you get your symptoms

Are the tyres going out of round or are your wheels buckled??

Cheers MarkV6, The rims are 16" 5 spoke (think they are an old tsw make) had 2 new front tyres, Dunlop 205/55/16 (£105 a side) the plastic spigots are there, cleaned the mating faces with a wire brush, The problem aint as bad but its still there.

Dude if they are after market alloys the sprigot rings will be different to the standard plastic ones, take a wheel off and if you can move it about on your hub with the ring on then thats the probem mate

Yep, heard this one before,
As already said, its likely to be the spigot rings. Any ring of the correct size should be ok but personally, I'd rather have a brand new set of metal ones on there. Much stronger and if you buy new ones then you know they are gonna fit. Speak to a alloy wheel supplier. They should be able to sell/give you a set and they don't very much.
