Vibrations - AGAIN!!
Right, Ive replaced just about every part of the front suspension, thats shocks, springs, anti roll bar links, lower suspension arms, ball joints, track rod ends...
Ive even got myself some new alloys and tyres and had the racking donw today... However I still have a vibration when driving and also I can feel it when I brake...
Now the new alloys, aren't new, they're second hand, just in better condition than my old ones, I've not had them balanced but they should have been already, but if they aren't would this cause the problem Im getting?
Also the wheels did have sprigot rings in them however they didnt fit with them in so i had to take them out, could this also be a cause of the problem?
Im just concerned as I wouldn't have thought an off balanced wheel would cause a vibration in the brakes...
I had the car up on axle stands and both front wheels seem fine when you spin them, its not looking like a bearing or anything like that...
Advice anyone?

i would get them balanced and get the right sprigot rings put in as well as soon as possible. never run a wheel without the correct sprigot rings as this puts more strain on the bolts, and if you do manage to hit a big hole in the road it could lead to them shearing mate.
BETTER TO HAVE A CALIBRA AND NOT NEED ONE, THAN NEED A CALIBRA AND NOT HAVE ONE!!!

Right just taken the new wheels off and put the old ones back on, everythings running smooth again, must be the missing spigot rings...
Had a good look at both the new and old wheels and it seems like the new ones have about 5mm more of a gap that allows more movement when sat on the hub, the old wheels pretty much sit flush...
So just got to wait for the spigot rings to turn up and maybe Ill finally have everything sorted... until the next breakage...

not worth chancing it running without the sprigot rings mike, if i remember rightly their only about a tenner for the set. so hopefully when you get them on, your motor should be alright.

Got the right spigot rings fitted and the wheels on now, still have a very slight vibrational noise when going 10-40mph after that it stops, gonna get the balancing checked out on monday as I didnt get a chance this week.. However there's no more vibration in the brakes and the ride feels really smooth now...
