Power Steering Fluid

I have to keep topping up my power steering fluid quite regulary. I've checked to see if there's any leaks and there doesn't appear to be.
The tensioner is making the worse noise so are these two related?

have you checked the rack itselve?

Good point! I'll check that in a bit. I had a second hand tensioner put on about a year ago and that stopped the whine and the neccesity of topping up the fluid. (I know...should have got a new one!) :-)

There's always a oily patch on the ground! My 8v leaks like there's no tomorrow!

Can't say I've ever tasted pas fluid (who has??) so I'll think I'll try the smell way!
