Calibra Turbo 4x4 17inch tyre pressures?
Hi
Does anyone know what is the correct Tyre presures in a Calibra Turbo 4x4 (locked using Mike Hayward locking kit) running 17inch alloys 215 40 17 tyres?
I am running 35PSI all round. Is this about right or not?

Hi, but the book does not cater for 17inch alloys so bigger tyres, plus a locked 4x4, i just did not know. I was recommended with a locked box to keep same pressures all round, but not sure what pressure.

would bigger tyres make a difference being not 16's on 17's 215 40 17. So 35 sounds too much?

The tyre expert site http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible.html recommends using the max pressure written on the side of the tyre minus 10%.
I do that the first time I use a car/tyre combination then change the pressure to suit the tyre wear, down if the centre wears first and up if the edges wear.
