Squealing Brakes
My new Calibra is suffering from quite bad brake squealing under light braking. If I brake hard it does not happen. The pads are not worn and the discs are not corroded or scored. Any ideas what might be causing the problem.

Re: Squealing Brakes
I'd suggest copper grease on back of pads and on the parts of the pad that slide on the caliper.
Also ensure you have an angled edge on the leading edge of the pad.
That should help.

Agreed, I've always done it, and every mechanic I know still does.
